I don’t have many words this week, just a few tiny offerings to support us as we stay in, turn towards, feel, and show up in the ways that we need to…
I’ve thought a few times about laying out some questions for a card spread but I have a feeling that doing so will only end in frustration. Instead I’m asking “what would be supportive to know right now,” pulling a card, and then sitting still with it until my question feels sufficiently answered.
A warm latte with Shatavari – the deeply nourishing root of the wild asparagus plant that supports healthy endocrine system balance. I mix the powdered root with cocoa or matcha or a blend of different spices in some oat milk with honey to sweeten.
Tulsi and Maypop (Passionflower) as a tea or tincture.
I saw Little Dragon perform live last weekend. I can only describe the experience as deeply and wildly joyful (the music, the crowd, the energy). Their openers, April X Vista, were extraordinary (and from DC). The Friday night show ushered me into Saturday’s eclipse and the whole thing was very eclipse-esque and magical.
A practice of three deep breaths. How long does it take to take three deep breaths? About 25 seconds, give or take. In that time, I can feel myself slow down, settle, and corral my attention so that I can focus it on what really matters to me right now.
I’m looking forward to the supportive guidance and somatic astrologer Renee Stills when they drop Embodied Astrology’s Scorpio season horoscopes after the seasonal shift on October 23rd.
