If you've worked with me through the past year or so you've gotten to experience some of the questions I've been in around how to reimagine, or perhaps remember, the Pilates method through the lens of embodiment. My relationship to this work has always been about more than a set of exercises or a good workout. Pilates has been a portal to greater embodiment and a deeper, more responsive relationship with my body. This is always why I love teaching and facilitating movement — to open these portals for others.
Last fall I was invited to film my first ever recorded workshop for fellow teachers with Fusion Pilates EDU. A learning curve, for sure but I was grateful for the an opportunity to sit down and codify my work (at least until that point). Clearly, I gravitate towards improv and open-ended exploration but taking the time to be with this body of work felt important and I’m excited to share it.
The workshop launches today and if it pings your interest, click the button below to check it out and if you’re in, use you can enter promo code ROOT for 10% off the workshop.
